I used the build, and approve. It is working great.
The build mesmer uses with a SS doesnt need SoD though, its nice to have but isnt required. I just kept hacking away with IW.
A few Problems i ran into is twice in a row my heal breeze got interrupted by attaxes. Dying nightmares spawn twice alot more making it impossible. And I cant figure out how to cast with grasping darknesses all around me, please explain.

SoD lets you tank so much more. At 10 prot, you can take 3x what you could before, and interrupts are a much smaller problem. It makes things a good deal faster when you take smites 10+ at a time
When fighting graspings, they'll use their interrupt first. So pre-enchant and wait them out. I like to aggro the 2-3 aatxes on the left + the 7 graspings if I'm feeling lucky, with SoD you're fairly safe from interrupts, and there isn't even that risk once you get SV up. Cast prot/breeze, wait for graspings to arrive and watch their interrupts. When they're expended, use SoD, breeze, respirit, and SV... or however you prefer to order it
If there are two nms, immediately wand the first one and then interrupt the second. It's possible, otherwise just die and res from necro When soloing though, you'll have to get lucky with wand hits or run behind spirits to rebuff.

Ok, Avarre, I've recently been expirementing with the SOJ adaptation for Trolls/Avicara, and I find myself struggling to get enough energy needed to keep the build running.
SOJ-15 energy
Mantra of resolve-15 energy
Prot Spirit-10 energy
Breeze-10 energy
Arcane Echo-15 energy...
65 energy...but my bar only has 36...
can you tell me how I should order the skills? Or how I can keep them from waring on my energy so much? I get alot of energy from the trolls, its just that, after all these enchantments, by the time I get enough to renew my prot spirit, it's already failed. Any solutions?

Ok saying you regen to about 20 energy after casting enchantments.
Prot spirit - 10 remaining
Breeze - 0 remaining
after 5 hits - mantra of resolve - 0 remaining
pause to allow energy to refill (so resolve doesn't end, vs avicara)
Echo, SoJ, recast enchants.

Armor does not matter, enchanter's gives the largest boost however is not needed. AL60 is safest in case of error.

this build works great!
i have some minor problem with the graspings but i started yesterday and i have found 2 ectos(not much but i have serious money problems^^) so im happy

Btw, is it possible just to kill off the 9-10 Aatxes, then kill the Gasping Darkness, and then just Run like hell to the smiters? Becouse atm i pefer not to fight Aatxes, becouse i think its the hardest Part of the run.. (3 PS interupts in one run AINT! fun >_>) I havent tryed it yet, but i think its possible.. Unless the Aatxes follow you into the smiter Area :S And then when all the easy shit smiters has been maimed then return and give the remaining Aatxes and Dyders a shot?

Very risky and probably impossible because those aatxes have a patrol route that goes to the stairs. It's possible to dodge one group, though (the one that goes to the right, near the bridge).

i'm thinking of making a mesmer so i can use an alternative proffession to 2man uw farm but i dont know which to delete!! i have a reserve slot for pvp, i love my rit, i'll NEVER delete my monk, i just brought my canthan necro to toa, i have a wammo but.. its a wammo we all need wammos! so that leaves me with my ranger.. hmm... very nice build avarre, i guess for you mesmers out there it feels Awwesome actually getting to WHACK aatxes to kill them.
edit* Yes soloing would be nice too =D i tried soloing the place with SoJ W/Mo with sprint and it took so long..

Not to mention that if you don't want to solo, a mesmer 55 tank's (the build listed below the first uw solo) only weaker capacity to a monk is the lack of spellbreaker, meaning you just have to be more careful... though you gain the function of hard res without losing SV.
